The International Green Technology Association (IGTA) is a non-profit academic organization launched by the Green Technology Excellence Center of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and the Academy of Sciences for Developing Countries in 2018. Based on the CAS-TWAS Green Technology Excellence Center, the alliance focuses on the major needs (energy and resources) of the "the Belt and Road" countries in response to major global green technology issues, establishes an international joint research and development, technology transfer and resource sharing platform, and improves industrial technological innovation capabilities; Developing several green technologies and promoting their industrialization to form industrial clusters; Establish the "the Belt and Road" national green technology senior talent training base, significantly enhance the exchange and cooperation of scientific and technological personnel, organize the world green technology seminar, publish and issue the international green technology manual; Build an international green technology science and education center, carrying the functions of scientific and technological collaborative innovation, transfer and transformation, and technology and policy strategic consultation. The ultimate goal is to build the Alliance into a "the Belt and Road" national green technology science and education center, talent think tank, technology research and development, technology transfer and industrialization highland, deepen scientific and technological innovation cooperation with countries along the Belt and Road, and jointly take the path of innovation driven development, so as to achieve sustainable and coordinated development of green technology in developing countries.
